Georgia Game-breaker Interested in Michigan

Michigan is the latest to enter the mix for 2017 Powder Springs (Ga.) McEachern wide receiver Tyler Smith.

Powder Springs (Ga.) McEachern sophomore wide receiver Tyler Smith is one of the most dynamic players on the field each time he steps onto it.  His blend of athleticism and speed makes him a nightmare for defensive coordinators. That skill-set has piqued the interest of many Power Five programs including the Wolverines.

“My coach told me and I was shocked,” Smith told The Michigan Insider. “I am very interested in Michigan, but I don’t know much. I wasn’t really in contact with Michigan before this offer, so this offer was a surprise. I want to take a visit up there.”

The early four star recruit holds additional offers from Auburn, Georgia, North Carolina State and North Carolina and is hearing from several others, but he remains wide open at this point.

“I don’t have a top list,” said Smith. “I will be visiting Tennessee and North Carolina.”

That list will surely grow in the coming weeks and months.  Coaches are clearly excited by what they’ve seen on film, but the talented youngster insists the best is yet to come

“I’m a game breaker,” said Smith. “I prefer the deep ball, but I can catch a short pass and go the distance too. I make a lot of people miss.”
