Ford: Michigan Offer 'Big,' Plans to Visit

Pittsburgh (Pa.) Seton-Lassalle 2017 safety Paris Ford talks Michigan offer and more.

Pittsburgh (Pa.) Seton-Lassalle 2017 safety Paris Ford received his offer from Michigan back in April -- and it still looms big in his recruitment.

"It's big," Ford said of Michigan offer. "Because Michigan is starting something new with coach [Jim] Harbaugh and [defensive coordinator] D.J. Durkin. Those guys work with pro athletes, so they know what it takes to get guys to the league."

Next up, Ford says he will be visiting the Wolverines for the first time on July 23.

"I want to see how the love is when I get up there," Ford said. "I want to see if they are really serious about me. I want to see their campus. Michigan is a beautiful area, a lot of beautiful sites and stuff like that."

Other than the Wolverines, Ford says Penn State, Auburn, UCLA, Ohio State and Tennessee are also showing strong interest. He even named his way too early top-five.

"I just want to take the process lowly," Ford admitted. "Couple of the schools I am looking at, I would say my top five is Michigan, Pittsburgh, West Virginia, Penn State and Auburn."
