Jim Harbaugh and co. have worked to build a strong in-state relationship with many of the top players and coaches. They recently invited several of the state’s most elite sophomores to campus for a huge recruiting event to show that emphasis they have on kids in their backyard. One of those invitees was Detroit King sophomore cornerback Ambry Thomas, who recaps his experience in Ann Arbor.
“We ate and walked around on campus and the facilities,” Thomas told Michigan Insider. “I talked to like all the coaches and they told me that they really liked my film and they would like to see me up on campus more.”
The Motor City speedster holds already over double digit offers, but since the conclusion of his trip to Michigan, his interest has risen in the Maize and Blue.
“My interest has grown in Michigan,” said Thomas. “I’m more interested than I was before. I like the coaches, the facilities and everything so far.”
So, what did the four-star 5-foot-11, 160-pound corner feel stand out the most to him during his visit?
“All the coaches energy and because they just brought all the positive energy into the room,” said Thomas. “Coach Harbaugh is a man who takes care of his players and treats them like they’re his children.”
