Washington Believes he’s U-M’s Fastest DB

Confidence isn’t in short supply for Keith Washington. The former Prattville (Ala.) standout was on hand at his high school Friday for Michigan’s satellite camp. The incoming Wolverine freshman discussed his off-season growth, the competition he has faced in Ann Arbor, Kingston Davis’ game, and more.

Keith Washington pulled one of the biggest signing day surprises in the country when he signed with Michigan despite not having taken a visit.  Based on his preexisting knowledge of the school, his strong relationship with Tyrone Wheatley, and the indelible impression made by Jim Harbaugh he knew Ann Arbor was the place for him.

And tow that he spent extended time there this summer he is even more sure.

“It was actually better than I expected it to be,” said Washington.  “I knew it was a great school and I was pretty sure it had a great campus and everything, but once I got there and see it with my own eyes, just meet everybody, it was a great experience for me.”
