Xavier Kelly came into the Sound Mind Sound Body camp with a reputation for being one of the nation’s elite pass rushers. That doesn’t mean that he had nothing to learn. Michigan graduate assistant passed along a few tips during on-on-one action Saturday that the Army All-American prospect quickly put to good use.
“I usually get in a four-point stance, and he kind of changed my stance up a little bit and ut me in a three-point stance,” said Kelly. “And I usually line up on the right side, but he put me on the left side. He taught me to rip through, and it ended up working out good.”
The Wolverines hope that instant rapport was a sign of things to come. Kelly and his father, who is an unabashed Michigan fan, will visit Ann Arbor this afternoon. For word on what the talented youngster will be looking for during his time in Ann Arbor, he visit timeline, and more press play below.
