The Sunshine State was well represented at the Sound Mind Sound Body camp last week, with several of its top athletes having put in work. Coconut Creek (Fla.) junior cornerback Trayvon Mullen showcased his skill-set and locked down receivers during his time there. A school that took notice of his great performance was Michigan, and on Saturday he got the opportunity to further explore the school on a visit.
“It went pretty good,” Mullen told The Michigan Insider. “I got to see coaches, the facilities, and the environment around. I liked the facilities and the coaches. Everything there has a lot of tradition and basically everything around there is all Michigan. They've got really great facilities. The coaches and Jim Harbaugh himself are great too.”
“I talked to (Harbaugh) for a while,” Mullen later added. “He likes me and he is a great dude. He just wants the chance of getting me there and doing something big. He is about business and I just really feel like he wants them to be really good.”
Harbaugh & company believe Mullen can help the Wolverines get there. The 6-2, 180-pounder is ranked the #7 corner in the nation and a four-star recruit by Scout.com. After having the red carpet rolled out for him in Ann Arbor, Michigan has definitely improved its standing.
“They are in it with me and I’m interested,” said Mullen. “I don’t have a top list yet though. Yeah, I would also like to (visit again), but sure when though.”
