Tampa (Fla.) Catholic 2017 TE Tre' McKitty first came on Michigan's radar when he camp at one of U-M's satellite camps in his hometown earlier this month. And that's where he says the Wolverines started to show a peaked interest in his services.
"At the USF [satellite] camp I talked to them a lot," he said of Michigan. "Mostly Jay Harbaugh talking to me a lot through the drills and stuff like that. [Jim Harbaugh] was watching me. I got to talk to him a little bit. He really liked me and was interested, and would like me to come up for a visit. "
That being said, If he were to visit Michigan, McKitty says he has a good idea of what he wants to see on his trip.
"I just want to see how it is," he said. "I heard a lot about it, like how big it is. The fan base, just a good place to be."
Not only does he want to visit Michigan, but McKitty says he's also well aware of how much U-M coach Jim Harbaugh utilizes the tight end in his offense.
"It's mean a lot," he said on the chance of working with the elder Harbaugh. "I have always been interested in Michigan. Especially now that Jim Harbaugh has come over there. It's a great place to learn and get better."
And if Michigan were to offer? Well, McKitty says it would go a long way in his recruitment.
"It would be great," he said of on earning a potential offer from the Wolverines. "Just great that a school like that would want me and I would have a lot of interest in them."
