Oak Park (Mich.) sophomore lineman Ja'Raymond Hall has been frequent visitor to Michigan’s campus this past month. In fact, he was on campus this past Saturday to attend a barbecue to hangout with U-M’s coaching staff.
“It was a barbecue,” Hall said. “It was a visit too. But then they said the barbecue was later at [4 p.m.] -- so we went to the barbecue.”
And during that event is when his high school teammate – 2018 lineman Marquan McCall – received his offer from the Wolverines.
“He was happy,” Hall said describing McCall’s reaction to the news . “Marquan just dropped as soon as he heard that he got it.”
That being said, are they considering teaming up in college too?
“Yeah, yep. It’s a real possibility,” Hall said. “We are really considering it.”
The visit went as expected Hall says, and he admits he liked the fact there was no pressure his way to become the next member to U-M’s 2017 class.
“No, they don’t try to pressure me,” Hall said. “They don’t make me feel uncomfortable about it.”
However, he did get a chance to know his possible linem coach – Tim Drevno – a little bit better during the trip.
“Coach Drevno is a real good coach,” Hall said. “When he coaches you, he really gets to you, you really learn because of the way he coaches. That’s the type of coach I’m going to be when I become a coach.”
With his relationship build with the Wolverines, Hall made no mistake on how his Dad feels about the Wolverines.
“My dad loves Michigan,” Hall said. “He loves Michigan. He’s always been a Michigan fan.”
