Michigan in Texas DLs Top Five

Bellaire (Tex.) Episcopal defensive tackle Marvin Wilson is among the top prospects on Michigan’s 2017 recruiting board. The four-star standout had some face time with the Wolverine coaching staff recently thanks to their presence at a Houston satellite camp. He made sure to let the Maize & Blue brass know the interest is definitely mutual.

Marvin Wilson has been working hard this offseason to improve his already impressive strength and quickness.  So when Michigan made it to Houston for a satellite camp recently, the Bellaire (Tex.) Episcopal defensive tackle took a pass on competing because he was in need of a break physically.  But he wasn’t going to pass on the opportunity to watch the drills, pick the brains of the coaches, and let them know just how interested he truly is.

“If I had to make up a top five right now probably say Michigan, LSU, Texas A&M, USC and UCLA,” Wilson reported.

The reason the Wolverines rank so highly is simple.

“The coaching staff,” he said matter-of-factly.  “They seem like they’re coming here and do some big things and take over.”
