Michigan High on Texas RB’s List

Michigan made a strong impression on 2017 Wylie (Tex.) East running back Eno Benjamin during it Dallas satellite camp.

Slowly but surely the buzz about Wylie (Tex.) East running back Eno Benjamin is picking up.  To date the 5-10, 187-pounder has picked up offers from Miami, Iowa, Duke, Texas Tech, Kansas, and a whole host of others. Another program keeping tabs on him has been the University of Michigan.

“They’ve always been coming down to my school… Coach Mattison,” Benjamin said.  “I’ve been on the phone a lot with Coach Partridge and he has always been talking good things and told me that I’m on their board somewhere.”

Benjamin recently had an opportunity to get to know the Wolverine coaching staff better during their satellite camp in Dallas earlier this month.

“I learned a lot of things out here,” Benjamin said afterward.  “Coach Wheatley (is a) great coach (and was a) great running back, so I was excited and open to learning new things about what it takes to be a good running back.”

All told, the experience help solidify Michigan’s standing in his recruitment.

“They’re really a top contender on my list,” he said.  “When they offer I would highly consider them.”
