The Wolverines are in the recruiting market for playmakers on the outside in the 2016 class and the 5-foot-11, 161-pounder definitely hopes to be a top target, looking to hear more from the coaching staff in the near future.
“I haven’t had really much contact with Michigan lately,” Sidney told The Michigan Insider. “I am still interested in them though.
“Coach (Jim) Harbaugh is a great coach and their program has been excelling and with Harbaugh it should help them even more. They’re just a great school”
As one of the most talked about figures in college football today, Harbaugh attracts quite a bit of exterior attention but for Sidney, the eyes are focused on the job Harbaugh has done rebuilding programs like San Diego and Stanford.
“I would like to play for him,” Sidney said. “He has a lot of experience and is a great coach.”
With official visits starting to take shape, Sidney is looking to finalize that agenda for the fall and one destination likely to receive an official is Ann Arbor.
“I will try and get up there,” Sidney said. “I might be a little busy, so I’m thinking about making it an official visit.
“As of now, most likely, but still want to see what else offer wise I get at least by mid season.”
If in fact Sidney does make it to the Big House for a game, the hope is to really get a feel for the atmosphere, the program and the coaching staff.
“I will be looking to see how I feel in the environment, if it’s somewhere I can actually see myself being for four years and how quick I can gel with the coaches,” Sidney said.
Sidney currently has no planned visits coming up the rest of summer.
