2017 TE Keegan Cossou a Big Fan of Wolverines

2017 Greenville (Mich.) Senior high school three-star tight end Keegan Cossou recently impressed at Michigan’s camp. Cossou catches up with The Michigan Insider to detail his experience and update his early recruiting process.

One of the standouts at the Michigan Exposure U camp back in June was Greenville (Mich.) sophomore tight end Keegan Cossou.

The big bodied, athletic pass catcher demonstrated his impressive skill-set going up against one of the state’s best defensive prospects and Wolverine linebacker commitment in the 2016 class.

“It went real well,” Cossou told The Michigan Insider. “I got the chance to compete against David Reese in the one on ones and thought I did real well against him.”

Tight ends coach Jay Harbaugh took notice of the 6-5, 220-pound tight end’s performance, now expressing interest in hosting Cossou for a visit in Ann Arbor this fall.

“I talked with Jay Harbaugh quite a bit at the camp and talked on the phone recently, but that’s about it,” said Cossou. “I thought he was a real cool coach and learned a lot from him in just one day with him.”

“I called (Jay Harbaugh) and he just asked if there were any recent recruiting updates and also asked if I would be able to come down for a game this fall for an unofficial visit,” added Cossou. “I do plan on visiting but nothing is set up yet.”

Cossou has had plenty of schools check up on him at school over the past few months including Michigan State, Tennessee, Iowa, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Northwestern while also holding a few offers from Central Michigan and Toledo.

Despite the early high amount of interest, the in-state tight end grew up fond of the Maize and Blue and hopes to eventually land an offer from the Wolverines.

“I am very interested in Michigan,” said Cossou. “I have always been a big fan and I’m hoping I get some more attention from them this fall. It’d be huge (if they offered). They definitely would be one of my top schools.”

After camping at Michigan State, Michigan, Notre Dame and Central Michigan, Cossou is done with camps for the rest of the summer.
