Hardman, who stars at Elberton (Ga.) Elbert County High, showcased his top-end speed in coverage and agility drills throughout the week. He even finished top-ten in the Nike Football Ratings Championship.
“It was straight, man,” Hardman said on his performance. “I didn’t perform the way I wanted to perform. I had fun. I had a good experience. I got all new gear and everything, so it was straight.”
Hardman says his plan in to take unofficial visits to Alabama, Florida State, LSU, Georgia and Tennessee this summer and fall. The main reason behind taking unofficial in the south, he says is because his plan is to take his official visits in the north to Notre Dame and Michigan, among others.
‘“I plan on taking an official (to Michigan),” he said. “But I really don’t talk to the coaches like I want to. I am going to try to get in contact with them. I want to try to build a relationship with them and see how everything goes.”
However, he says U-M must start showing some more interest soon to make up ground in his recruitment.
“I just want to hear interest,” he said. “I want to hear that they want me in their program. Everybody wants to feel wanted. Just the need of feeling wanted.”
And when he does go up for a visit, he says he has a good idea of what he wants to see in Ann Arbor.
“I want to have some fun,” he said. “I don’t want go for nothing.
As far as a decision timeline, he plans on making a signing day decision.
“It’s something I want to do, but I haven’t really set all of my officials right now. I want to set m top-ten before I set all of my officials.”
