Fontana (Calif.) Summit 2016 wide receiver Damian Alloway might be getting closer to making a decision, but several different options remain possible.
“It is a school that can change up my recruiting process,” Alloway told The Michigan Insider. “It’s just a school I’d have to take time to look into before I’d pass up an opportunity like that.
The 5-foot-10, 170-pound speedster’s interest in Michigan partially stems from his strong friendship with Norco (Calif.) junior athlete and Wolverine commit, Victor Viramontes.
“From what Vic has told me the coaching staff is just on another level and they play on a national stage,” said Alloway. “He’s been my boy since freshman year. Always told him he’s my favorite quarterback.
“I’ve been running routes for him the last three years at camps and 7-on-7’s all over. I wouldn’t mind another four. He’s has not really been recruiting me because I don’t have the offer.”
While no offer has been extended to Alloway, if one were to come the Wolverines would quickly make a move up his recruiting list.
“There would be no commitment or anything until a Michigan visit,” said Alloway. It would really get my attention and I would really want to get to know the coaches and see how they would use me.
Alloway took an unofficial visit to Notre Dame on Thursday and could possibly be ready to figure out his future now that it's over.
“UCLA and Notre Dame are the real contenders for me right now,” said Alloway. “Maybe when I get back from this visit (might make a decision), but it’s not a for sure thing yet.”
