2019 LB Talks U-M BBQ Visit

Detroit (Mich.) King 2019 linebacker Tyrece Woods reflects on his BBQ visit to Michigan and more.

Detroit (Mich.) King 2019 linebacker Tyrece Woods made his way to Michigan for its annual Barbecue at the Big House, and came away impressed with what the Wolverines have to offer.

“Everything was great from the tour of the campus and how much interest the coaching staff had in me,” Woods told The Michigan Insider. “I love the school as a whole and always dreamed of playing ball and getting my degree there.”

At 6-foot-2, 205-pounds, Woods is already generating interest from Washington State, Ohio State and Michigan.

In fact, several U-M coaches spent time with Woods during his BBQ stay on Sunday.

“My favorite part of the visit was the coaching staff because they showed lots of interest and they seemed like great guys to develop you for the next level,” Woods said. “I talked with both of the (Jima and Jay) Harbaugh's, Coach (D.J.) Durkin and Coach Erik Campbell. They were telling me how much they liked me and that they couldn’t wait to see me play.”

“I’m pushing for a return visit on Friday.”
