2018 LB Rybka Talks U-M BBQ Visit

Paramus (N.J.) Catholic freshman linebacker Bartek Rybka updates his Michigan BBQ visit and more.

Paramus (N.J.) Catholic freshman linebacker Bartek Rybka attended Michigan’s annual summer recruiting bonanza -- Barbecue at the Big House -- and walked away impressed with what the Maize & Blue had to offer.

“The visit went great,” Rybka told The Michigan Insider. “I loved every part of it. What stood out was the way the coaches treated us. They made me feel like I was a part of the family and made me feel special. I love the coaching staff.”

At 6-foot-2, 239-pounds, Rybka is a physical linebacker and has already began establishing relationships with several coaching staffs, but one of the closet he has is with Wolverine recruiting coordinator Chris Partridge and his New Jersey connection.

“I would have to say (I like) Coach Partridge because he got me to o to Paramus Catholic and he has always been there since day one of my recruiting process,” said Rybka. “Coach Partridge is an amazing recruiter and Paramus Catholic is just a powerhouse. It’s an awesome connection. Paramus Catholic kids are ready for college and word hard.”

With offers from Rutgers and Akron, Rybka still has a lot of time left in his recruitment, but if a Michigan offer were to arise, it would mean a lot mean a lot in his recruitment.

“I spoke to every coach on the defensive staff and Coach (Jim) Harbaugh for awhile. I spoke to coach about (an offer) and I expect it soon. If I got it, I would definitely think about (committing). It would be dumb not to. It’s a Michigan pipeline from Paramus Catholic.”
