Bolden, Kerridge Named U-M Football Captains

There will be captains this season. U-M announced that seniors Joe Kerridge and Joe Bolden have been voted captains by the team.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Michigan announced its captains for the 2015-2016 season on Thursday.

Seniors Joe Kerridge and Joe Bolden were named captains for the season as voted their teammates.

Kerridge, a fullback, according to the release is considered “one of the most dependable players on offense and special teams.” He has appeared in 36 games at fullback and has started 10 games during his U-M career. The state of Michigan native has also been named to the Academic All-Big Ten Conference list three times.

Bolden, a linebacker, was one of three team representatives during Big Ten Media Days held last month. Bolden returns as the team’s top tackler a year ago and needs 13 tackles to eclipse 200 in his career. Bolden was named to the Lott IMPACT Trophy and Butkus Award watch lists this season.

U-M is set to start its 2015 campaign against Utah on September 3.
