When Roseville (Calif.) junior tight end Jimmy Jaggers visited Michigan during the offseason not many of the coaches were on vacation and campus was relatively quiet. He saw a different atmoshere entirely when he made his way back to Ann Arbor last Saturday for the Wolverines' 28-7 victory over UNLV.
“I had a great time,” Jaggers told The Michigan Insider. “I love this area and I’ve had a chance to really get around the campus and build some good relationships with everyone. I had a great time with the coaches. On Friday, when I got to Ann Arbor, Coach Jay, Coach Jim and Jack Harbaugh stayed after walkthroughs and talked with me for 30 minutes or so about football and everything, so that was a great experience in itself getting to talk to those guys.”
While its clear that there were many aspects of the visit that the 6-4, 232-pounder enjoyed, one stood out above the rest.
“Definitely the time spent with the Harbaughs,” said Jaggers. “Just being able to talk football and life with those guys for that time period and also Matt Doherty, one of the recruiting guys. He was just constantly by my side talking to me about whatever, which is always nice having someone like that.”
With the visit to Ann Arbor in the books, Jaggers left feeling more sure of his strong interest in the Maize & Blue.
“I’ve always been interested and so I’d say after the visit, it just makes the interest more concrete,” said Jaggers.
At the moment Jaggers said he is play his visit schedule by ear, but he does have one unofficial visit set-up for Stanford on November 28th.
