COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- Michigan will be without an offensive and defensive starter against Maryland on Saturday.
According to The Michigan Insider's Josh Newkirk via Twitter, the Wolverines will be without running back De'Veon Smith and cornerback Channing Stribling. In Smith's absence, true freshman running back Karan Higdon has apparently made the travel roster as he was taking pregame warmpup snaps. On the defensive side, true freshman Keith Washington and Tyree Kinnel made the travel roster as well.
U-M will see a heavy rotation of Ty Isaac, Derrick Green and Drake Johnson at running back.
A U-M spokesman said that head coach Jim Harbaugh will explain Stribling's absence after the game.
