NEW YORK, N.Y. -- The University of Michigan announced on Thursday that it has partnered with The Players' Tribune for an all-access series to be run on various athletic programs at the university.
The series titled "Our Michigan" will give The Players' Tribune unprecedented access to game days, practices and other experiences into the life of a U-M student athlete, coaches and staff.
“With the largest alumni base in the world and fans across the globe, we’re excited to share the distinctive insights of Michigan through the lens of The Players’ Tribune,” Interim athletic directior Jim Hackett said in a statement. “TPT is an ideal platform for us and we embrace this opportunity for our student-athletes to share their experiences at a university that pairs academic excellence with the competition of sport.”
The series will focus on the football, men's basketball and softball programs.
“I first fell in love with the University of Michigan on my recruiting trip and then again while I was attending classes there. My heart has been there ever since,” Derek Jeter, founding publisher of The Players’ Tribune, said in a statement. “Alongside other sports fans, I’m looking forward to getting to know these teams and these athletes. Go Blue.”
The series will debut on The Players' Tribune this month and will continue throughout the seasons.
