Michigan has been looking to finish out its 2016 recruiting class strong and is in good standing with several of the top uncommitted prospects in nation. This past week the Wolverines entered the race for yet another... Winter Garden (Fla.) West Orange senior wide receiver Eddie McDoom.
“My head coach let me know (Michigan wanted to offer) and I gave them a call as soon as I found out about it,” McDoom told The Michigan Insider. “That’s a big time school and I was excited about it. I like the coaches that were put in. I like the style of offense they run, and who doesn’t want to play in the biggest stadium in college football.”
The 6-0, 170-pound McDoom holds offers from the likes of Clemson, Florida, Louisville, Texas, Penn State amongst many others, but claims no favorites at the moment. That's good news for Michigan considering the Sunshine State wideout doesn't know a great deal about the program yet.
“I have plan on visiting on December 11th,” said McDoom. “I am very (excited on the Michigan trip). It’s going to be good to see the school up close and get a feel of the atmosphere there.”
“I’m excited about meeting the coaching staff and talking to the players. I’m also excited about seeing what they can bring to the table for me and getting a closer look at the campus.”
With his decision timeframe fast approaching the visit to Ann Arbor will occur at an ideal time. The talented youngster know exactly what he'll be looking for when he makes his way to Ann Arbor.
“What benefits me the most,” McDoom said of his factors. “Where can I go that I could really make a difference. I’m pushing for a little after the season to make a decision.”
McDoom currently has no other visits planned.
