In Michigan's biggest game of the season versus arch rival Ohio State the Wolverines also place host to a bevy of recruits. One of the visitors on hand was 2017 Covington (Ga.) Newton linebacker Jaquan Henderson, who is currently committed to UCLA. While the outcome wasn’t what the Maize & Blue was hoping for, that didn’t diminish Henderson’s experience.
“It went well,” Henderson told The Michigan Insider. “Michigan has a great atmosphere and the fans were amazing. I have seen nothing like it yet. I went to see the football facilities and that was a cool experience too. Michigan is a great place to be. I really enjoyed myself.”
So, what stood out to him the most from his time spent at Michigan?
“The game,” said Henderson. “It just doesn’t get a better experience than that. I liked the hype and the love the fans had for their team.”
The only thing 6-0, 193-pounder didn't get to do was spend as much time as he would have liked with the coaches... but that's something that he says will be taken care of in the future.
Said Henderson, “they said they are going to watch my film and of course (I plan to make a return trip).”
Henderson was accompanied by his fellow teammate in Wolverine 2017 commit, running back Kurt Taylor. The thought of becoming teammates on the next level has defiitely crossed Henderson's mind.
“It would mean a lot to me (if Michigan offered),” said Henderson. “(Playing with Taylor) would be amazing too.”
At the moment Henderson has no visits on deck and is focused on getting ready for the Rising Senior Game
