When Michigan plays host to its rival Ohio State, it’s no secret it’s a big game in Ann Arbor.
But while the Wolverines players are focused on the game at hand, it’s also big day for recruiting for the U-M coaching staff, with over 50 reported prospects on campus for “The Game” on Saturday.
Oak Park (Mich.) 2017 OT prospect, Jaraymond Hall, was one of the many onlookers for Saturday’s contest, and while Michigan lost 42-13 to OSU, he still had positive things to say about his U-M game experience.
“I had fun at the game,” Hall said. “The atmosphere is always great. It was just crazy seeing Ohio State versus Michigan, it was great.”
And that’s not all, Hall continued to rave about his growing relationship with a certain Michigan coach.
“It’s a real good vibe,” Hall said of U-M. “The coaches at Michigan are really good coaches. And coach (Tyrone) Wheatley, I have built a really good bond with him. He checks in with me time to time, he’s a real good guy and a family man.”
What is sticking out bout Michigan so far in in his recruitment? Hall says: “They have great hospitality. I feel like it’s home there. It’s also not that far away from home.”
This off-season, Hall says he plans to checkout Arizona, Arizona State, Ole Miss and Michigan State.
“I’m trying to see if they feel like home,” Hall said when asked what he’s looking for in a program. “Just somewhere I feel at home and coveted.”
At the moment, Hall says he has no planned decision timeline.
