One thing is for sure, 2016 WR Donnie Corley will eventually announce his college decision on the same day with fellow Detroit King standout, 2016 CB Levert Hill, this coming month or so.
That is a fact.
The date, however, has yet to be set, with signing day coming up on Feb. 3, 2016, the star duo will make their announcement known sometime between now and then.
So, we wait.
Yet, the bigger question remains: will they be a package deal at the next level?
Well, if its up to Corley, that would be the case, as he spoke on the possibility of playing with Hill in college today with The Michigan Insider.
“There is a significant chance that happens,” Corley said of choosing the same school as Hill, adding: “It would mean a lot, because we’ve been playing with each other for so long. That’s what we are trying to do, make big changes.”
Hill, of course, is being courted by Michigan and Michigan State, and his brother, Delano Hill, is currently a junior safety for the Wolverines.
At the moment, Corley says he has no leader for his commitment. However, he says his top five schools in no particular order are: Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, Tennessee and Notre Dame. He says he plans on taking an official visit to Ohio State this weekend. He’s also been on campus visits to U-M, MSU and Tennessee this fall.
“I’ve been all these schools numerous times, so there is really nothing new I am looking for,” Corley said when asked what he’s looking for down the stretch run of his recruitment. “I am just looking for place that fits me.”
He had this to say about the Wolverines.
“I like that they are trying to feature their players a lot, they are featuring (Jabrill) Peppers and use him a bunch of different ways,” Corley said of Michigan. “Then they have been throwing the ball a lot too.”
And his response regarding the Spartans, well, was positive.
“They have been with me since the beginning,” Corley said. “I just feel comfortable with them.”
