Jaylon Redd Big Fan of Michigan

Rancho Cucamonga (Calif.) junior cornerback Jaylon Redd has been a player on Michigan’s radar for awhile and became even more so when they extended an offer last summer. With the Wolverines 10-3 record this past season, it caught the attention of many including the Golden State standout.

One of the Golden State’s top defenders is Rancho Cucamonga (Calif.) junior cornerback Jaylon Redd. The lockdown corner has racked up offers from Arizona State, Boise State, Colorado, Oklahoma, UCLA, USC, Washington and Washington State so far in his recruitment. He also holds an offer from Michigan, which he received back in May and has since seen his interest piqued in the Wolverines.
Redd kept an eye on the Maize and Blue this season following his offer and saw their dominating bowl game performance against Florida, which showed him that it’s a program on the rise.
“Man, it was incredible,” Redd told The Michigan Insider. “I liked how they came out and smashed one of the top teams in the country to finish off their season. They made a big statement and I’m definitely a big fan.”
The 5-9, 160-pounder sits as the No. 153 overall ranked cornerback in the nation and a four-star recruit by Scout. While many programs are already recruiting him heavily and are interested in his services, he also feels that the Wolverines are a program that has his interest level on the rise.
“I’m very interested,” said Redd. “I like the way they allow their corners to be on an island. I also loved the way they use Jabrill Peppers and letting him use his athleticism at multiple positions.”
Does Redd have any intentions to try and make it out to Ann Arbor in the future?
“Yes sir,” said Redd.
