Olathe North Senior (Kan.) 2017 safety Isaiah Simmons announced his offer from Michigan on Saturday through his Twitter account.
On Sunday, U-M coach Jim Harbaugh didn’t waste anytime, and made his way to Simmons household for an in-home visit.
“It went pretty good,” Simmons said of his visit with Harbaugh. “It was more of get to know me and stuff like that.”
Adding: “They actually offered me a few days ago,” Simmons said. “I am interested in them.”
But is he interested enough to schedule an official visit with the Wolverines?
“We’re trying to get that all worked out right now,” Simmons said when asked about setting up an official visit with U-M. “Since it’s so late, it’s going to be kind of hard. But we’re going to try (to make it happen).”
What does Simmons know about Michigan?
“Not too much actually,” Simmons said, adding: “If I come visit, I obviously would want to learn everything about the school.”
Already, Simmons has been on official visits to Illinois and Missouri. He says he also plans to visit Clemson this month.
As far as a decision timeline, Simmons says he “definitely” will be announcing his commitment on national signing day ion Feb. 3.
“Just getting that gut feeling that tells me this is where I want to go to school,” said Simmons.
