At 6-foot-3, 205-pounds, 2017 wide receiver Austin Williams is prospect on the rise in the Mississippi. In fact, Williams who stars at Ocean Springs (Miss.) High, is coming of an outstanding junior season, where he finished with more than 1,000 yards receiving with 56 catches and seven touchdowns.
Currently, he holds an offer from Louisiana Tech, and is looking to hear from more of the top schools in his area.
“Definitely my in-state schools Mississippi State and Ole Miss.,” Williams said his schools of interest. “Then a school like Stanford, those schools I’m interested in. Just anywhere I can get on the field.”
When asked if he would be interested in top programs from the Midwest, including Michigan, Notre Dame and Ohio State among others, Williams said: “Anything would be a blessing and honor.”
As for what he’s looking for in a program, Williams says there are multiple factors in his decision.
“What’s going to be a good fit for me and my family?” Williams said. “What’s education looking like? Does it feel like home?”
