Only a freshman, Anthony Solomon is already racking up big time offers from top programs from across the country.
In fact, earlier this month at the U.S. Army Junior Combine, the Forth Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas 2019 linebacker named his top-five.
"My top five would be Alabama, LSU, Florida State, Michigan State and Auburn,” Solomon said, who stands at 6-foot-1, 190-pounds and intercepted five passes in his first year of high school football action.
Solomon, who admits he prefers to play middle linebacker at the next level, has been to Florida State’s campus recently, and already holds the ‘Noles in high regard.
"It's definitely been a team I've been watching since I was little,” he said. “I like the way they play defense. Defense is where I'm the best at and I just love the way they play it."
Michigan is another school that that has offered lately, and Solomon admits he was “ecstatic” to receive the offer.
"They offered me I believe a month ago,” he said of his Michigan offer. “I was ecstatic. I really like that they called our office, called me down to the athletic center and they told me I got offered by Michigan."
And while he had 17 offers to date, Solomon says one of his most important factors in a program is finding a family first environment.
"What's best for me and my family, who has the best football program and academic program at the time,” he said.
