Scout Top 5: Michigan commit Brandon Peters is No. 4 QB in the 2016 Class

The Race to National Signing Day continues with a final breakdown of the top 5 quarterbacks in the 2016 class...

1. Shea Patterson, Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy

The nation's top-ranked quarterback could push Chad Kelly when he gets to Mississippi and may be the top offensive prize that Hugh Freeze and the Rebels have ever landed.

2. Jacob Eason, Lake Stevens (Wash.)

Despite a late push by Florida and the homestate schools, Kirby Smart and Georgia held on to the National Player of the Year and Eason will compete early for playing time.

3. Jarrett Guarantano, Oradell (N.J.) Bergen Catholic

The big-armed Guarantano will leave the Northeast to give Tennessee a talented passer to challenge for the starting role when Josh Dobbs is done.

4. Brandon Peters, Avon (Ind.)

The Indiana state Gatorade Player of the Year, Peters was Jim Harbaugh's top target and he committed to Michigan early.

5. Feleipe Franks, Crawfordville (Fla.) Wakulla

The longtime LSU commit changed course last month and flipped to Jim McElwain and Florida and could provide an immediate boost to the homestate Gators' offense.
