Michigan Opens the Season at #7

Further evidence the collge football season is just around the corner, USA TODAY/ESPN announced their first preseason rankings Thursday evening. Oklahoma beat out Ohio State for the top spot

Five Big Ten teams are included in the rankings with Michigan coming in as the second highest conference representative. The full rankings are as follows:

5. Kansas State (11-2)

7. Michigan (10-3)
8. Southern California (11-2)

11. Pittsburgh (9-4)
12. Florida State (9-5)
13. Maryland (11-3)
14. North Carolina State (11-3)

16. Tennessee (8-5)
