Signing Day Capsule: TE Sean McKeon

Get to know 2016 Michigan Tight End signee Sean McKeon on national signing day.

A summer camp atendee, Sean McKeon caught the eye of Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh and immediately received an offer from the Wolverines. The rest, they say, is history. McKeon took a visit to the facilities and knew he would be committing to Michigan and did so shortly thereafter.

"McKeon is an intriguing prospect because of his combination of size, speed and athleticism. He needs to get stronger, which will help his blocking, but he releases well off the line of scrimmage and gets into his routes well. He high-points the ball in traffic and is also tough to bring down after the catch. When blocking, the intent and desire is there, but he needs to get stronger to stay on and finish the block." -- Brian Dohn

“I knew right after my visit on Saturday, touring the facilities and meeting the coaches -- I knew Michigan was the perfect fit for me,” McKeon told The Michigan Insider.

“I loved everything about Michigan, but especially the facilities, stadium and coaching staff.”

An intriguing prospect at a position Harbaugh loves, McKeon could one day be a sleeper pick to be a very successful tight end in the U-M offense. Although he's an early enrollee, McKeon has the chance to develop and learn from the likes of Harbaugh and Jake Butt. Whether he plays as a trye freshman remains to be seen, but McKeon certainly has a lot of people to learn from around him.
