ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Coming off back-to-back home losses, Aubrey Dawkins knows exactly what Michigan needs to do at Minnesota today and moving forward in Big Ten play.
“Step it up, that’s really all it is,” said Dawkins, who is coming an 14-point performance in U-M’s 89-73 loss to Michigan State on Saturday. “Not such a good game against Michigan State. We can’t get down with that if we want to win a Big Ten championship, maybe even further than that."
Adding: "We got to lock in and start doing the small things.”
Today, U-M (17-7, 7-4 Big Ten) can end its two game losing streak by winning at Minnesota (6-17, 0-11), Michigan defeated the Gophers at Crisler Center on Jan. 20, 74-69.
“Every team has slumps, now we got to focus on the team we are playing,” said Dawkins.
Now, can Michigan end its slump tonight?
