ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Michigan needed to beat Iowa on Saturday night. A win would have mostly likely secured the Wolverines an NCAA tournament bid.
It just didn’t happen that way, as No. 16 Iowa defeated Michigan 71-61.
Afterwards, a dejected Derrick Walton Jr. talked to the media about the Wolverines disappointing loss.
“I’m really a loss for words right now,” Walton Jr. said. “They made some really tough plays.”
