Vista Murrieta (Calif.) junior offensive lineman Chuck Filiaga added Michigan to an already impressive offer list.

In the aftermath of a recent offer Vista Murrieta (Calif.) junior offensive lineman Chuck Filiaga plans to look more into the Maize & Blue.

Vista Murrieta (Calif.) junior offensive lineman Chuck Filiaga is ranked the # 11 offensive tackle in the country and a four-star recruit by Scout, and has an impressive offer list to back that assessment up. Michigan made that list even more impressive recently when it added its name to the mix.

“I had been told me to call (Director of Player Personnel) Coach (Tony) Tuioti and then I talked to (Head) Coach Jim (Harbaugh) and he offered me,” Filiaga told The Michigan Insider. “I was excited about the offer and I know my hard work and sacrifice is paying off.”

What stood out just as much as receiving his Wolverine offer was the opportunity to talk with Coach Harbaugh himself.

“It was great,” said Filiaga. “He talked to me about my film and how he loved the way I played. He sounds like a cool guy. I've seen him on TV and everything when he was the head coach for the 49ers and he is a great coach.”

The 6-5, 275-pounder admits his knowledge of the Wolverines is very low, but he plans to change that in the coming weeks and months.

“I don’t know much (about Michigan),” said Filiaga. “As of right now, I'll be learning about all schools just because my recruiting a picked up a lot this year than this past year.

"It is (a place I want to visit),” said Filiaga. "Nothing yet set, but I have to sit down with my mom and talk with her and schedule it.”
