Scout’s No. 99 overall rated prospect, Wylie (TX.) East junior running back Eno Benjamin, traveled up to Ann Arbor this week for an unofficial visit. During his time on campus, he was given the full tour from top-to-bottom of the Michigan program and saw how valued he is from the Wolverine coaching staff.
“It went great,” Benjamin told The Michigan Insider. "I saw everything from academics to football. I spoke with all the coaches and they were saying they would love to have and use me. It speaks volumes. We talked about football as well as pursuing my career and life after football.”
The Wolverines also showed the off-the-field side to Benjamin when he got the opportunity to learn more about his major from a professor.
“I also spoke to a professor,” said Benjamin. “I want to be a lawyer, so they set me up to talk to a law professor.”
The 5-10, 187-pound tailback got the full tour and saw many great things, but the sit-down with the headman Jim Harbaugh, running backs coach Tyrone Wheatley and offensive analyst Bam Richards stood out to Benjamin the most.
“Being in the office with Harbaugh, Wheatley and Bam,” said Benjamin on his most memorable moment. “We were watching my game film play-by-play as well as Michigan game film.”
With his visit to U-M in the books, the Wolverines definitely made a move in his recruitment and have inched closer to the top of his leaderboard.
“I’m 10 times more interested,” said Benjamin. "Iowa is the leader right now but Michigan is at No. 2 and working their way up. I loved it and will be back.”
Benjamin will visit Northwestern this afternoon and Thursday morning, Iowa on Friday and Arkansas on Saturday.
