Michigan is the latest to offer for highly touted Port Arthur (Tex.) Memorial junior cornerback Kary Vincent Jr.

Port Arthur (Tex.) Memorial junior cornerback Kary Vincent Jr. discusses his Michigan offer, his visit plans, and more.

Year after year the Lone Star State produces some of the nation’s top prospects and this year Port Arthur (Tex.) Memorial junior cornerback Kary Vincent, Jr. is one of its best.

The 5-11, 160-pounder saw his impressive offer list grow recently when Michigan added its name to his ledger.

“(Defensive Backs) Coach (Michael) Zordich followed me on Twitter and then I called him,” Vincent told The Michigan Insider. “My reaction was ecstatic. Not at all (was I expecting the offer).”

Vincent has little familiarity with the Wolverines, but he is very familiar with the man who coaches them.

“I’m very interested just as I am in all the other schools, but I personally love (Head) Coach (Jim) Harbaugh,” said Vincent. “He's a winner and a great person from what I've seen dating back to his NFL days.”

Now Scout’s No. 113 prospect hopes to get out to Ann Arbor so he can learn more about the other aspects of the Maize & Blue.

“Definitely (want to visit) if not the spring game, then for the summer,” said Vincent. “I've yet to visit, but when I do I'll be able to answer (what I like about them)… but I do love their fan base.”

At the moment, Vincent has no top list.
