Excerpts from the announcement speech of Chad Henne (6-3, 230 lbs., 4.6 in the 40, 3.4 GPA) from West Lawn, Pa., Wilson.
"I owe everything to my head coach, Coach Cantafio ... I came in in 9th grade just hoping to make the JV team, and he made me into what I am."
"All the college coaches were high class, they couldn't have been better."
"In May I was leaning to Penn State. I met with Coach Paterno in March, he'd grab my shoulder and say, "You GOTTA come here!"
"But then in June when I visited Michigan ... I got to talk to Coach Carr and all the Michigan coaches. And on July 12th, I remember the date, Michigan became my leader."
"I called the Michigan coaches at 11 PM last night and gave them the news. I didn't way anything sooner because I wanted to be sure that that is where I felt like I belonged. My parents didn't even know until now. I still have not talked to the Penn State coaches."
"I picked Michigan because just felt more comfortable there. I especially love Scot Loeffler (U-M QB coach). He was a quarterback at Michigan and so he went through the program there and really knows what it takes to succeed."
