Ann Arbor was flooded with top talent on Friday, as Michigan played host to top recruits for its annual spring game.
And you can count Detroit (Mich.) Cass Tech 2018 cornerback prospect Kalon Gervin among them, as he gave the Wolverines a nice review after his spring game visit.
“It was real nice,” Gervin said. “I really liked the atmosphere, that’s what always stands out to me the most. It’s big time up there I really like that. That just stands out to me, even when I went to the basketball game, it was real big time for me.”
Now that Gervin has been on U-M’s campus multiple times, he admits he starting to gain a certain comfort level with Michigan’s coaching staff.
“I’m starting to get real comfortable with the coaches,” Gervin said. “They are real cool with me and are starting to get to know me more. I think its starting to workout.”
Secondary coach Michael Zordich is also starting to make a strong impression on Gervin.
“He’s a real cool mellow guy,” Gervin said of Zordich. “He’s really cool. I could play under him.”
That being said, What’s next up in Gervin's recruitment? Well, next Gervin says he’s going to Notre Dame and Illinois on April 14. And as far as a leader, Gervin doesn’t have a top five, but named Michigan, Michigan State, Pittsburg, Tennessee and Nebraska as schools sticking out early on his recruitment.
