Owings Mills (Md.) McDonogh 2017 offensive tackle Jordan McNair is among Michigan's top 2017 line targets.

Michigan has had its sights set on Owings Mills (Md.) McDonogh 2017 offensive tackle Jordan McNair for quite some time now. In the coming months he hopes to reward that interest by taking his first visit to Ann Arbor.

Owings Mills (Md..) McDonogh 2017 offensive tackle Jordan McNair has been a target that Michigan has been on for quite some time. It was a year ago that the Wolverines made clear just how interested they are in him.

“It was around spring time of my sophomore year and I saw this guy who walked in the gym with a Michigan jacket on," McNair told The Michigan Insider. "I had no idea what was going on, and it was Coach Drevno. He walked in my coaches office and after he left my coach told me that Michigan had offered me. I was really excited when I found out.”

From that point since, contact with the Wolverine coaching staff has been steady.

“I talk to Coach Drevno from time to time and Coach Harbaugh," the 6-5, 286-pounder said. "They’re both good relationships and they’re both still growing. I like Michigan and I just like the tradition of the program and the history. They’ve always been good in the Big Ten.”

Now McNair hopes to learn more about the Maize & Blue by getting an up close and personal look.

“I should be (in Ann Arbor) sometime in the summer,” said McNair. "Nothing is set up yet.”

McNair has no top list at the moment, but hopes to have one in late spring
