Poutasi Hoping To Hear More From Wolverines

Michigan tight ends coach Jay Harbaugh traveled around Nevada last week searching for more great talent and stopped by to see Las Vegas (Nev.) Desert Pines junior offensive guard Poutasi Poutasi. The talented lineman talks about Harbaugh's visit, his thoughts on the Wolverine program and more.

The Wolverine coaching staff has been hard at work this evaluation period checking out talent from all over the country. One coach in particular that has made the rounds is tight ends coach Jay Harbaugh.

Last week, he traveled to Nevada to find some of the state’s top prospects. One of those stops was to see Las Vegas (Nev.) Desert Pines junior offensive guard Poutasi Poutasi.

“I've had a few words with Jay Harbaugh. he came down on last Friday,” Poutasi told The Michigan Insider.

The 6-3, 275-pound Poutasi holds several offers and sits as one of the top interior offensive linemen on the West Coast, but is hoping to land an offer from Michigan, which would be mean a lot to him.

“Of course, I’m interested,” said Poutasi. “I like just the program itself. I really don't know much, but I surely want to know more about them and they are doing something special there. It would mean the world and that's a big deal (if they offered)! I'm very interested in them and hope for the best!

Could the Maize and Blue possibly see Poutasi take an unofficial visit to Ann Arbor?

“It's pretty far, so it's highly unlikely, but I'll definitely try.”
