In fact, Brown talks to Thomas about his favorite subject -- football -- on a regular basis, says the four-star cornerback.
“He wants me to comeback up there and talk football with him, every time I talk to him that’s what we do,” Thomas said of Brown. “We talk football and we chill. It’s real nice.”
What’s Brown’s vision on how sees Thomas fitting into his defense?
“He says I’m a long corner,” Thomas said. “I got long arms and length. He said ‘press’ and that’s all I do. So I like that.”
Thomas has also seen part of Brown’s vision this spring, as he was able to see first hand the scheme Brown brought with him from Boston College.
“It was real nice,” Thomas said of his spring practice visits. “I was watching (Michigan’s) DB’s technique. I was talking to coach about technique and how he teaches it, so he knows what he’s talking about.”
That being said, Thomas admits there is still some details he would like to learn on his next visit to U-M’s campus.
“If id do considering going there, what’s there life goal for me,” Thomas said of his next U-M visit, adding: “Life after football.”
Other than Michigan, Thomas says he’s planning on checking out Wisconsin this Friday and Notre Dame this on Saturday.
“I’m just looking at (my) relationship with coaches and people there,” Thomas said. “And show me life after football, because isn’t going to last forever.”
As far as a decision timeline, Thomas says he hasn’t set a date for his announcement. However, he does plan to graduate early, so his decision will likely happen sometime before the new year.null
