In fact, the Westerville (Ohio) South standout admits he’s already started to build quite the bond with his U-M area recruiter, Michael Zordich.
“He’s a great guy,” Gill said of Zordich. “I can tell he just doesn’t care about me as a player, he cares about me as a person and my future. I like that.”
Gill took in his first trip to U-M in late March, where he was able to see most of what Michigan has to offer in his one day on campus, he says.
“I like it,” he said of U-M. “It’s a great area, a great campus. They play in the big house, a huge stadium. It’s great school, too. Everything about Michigan, I like it.”
“The trip was good,” he said of his latest visit in March, adding: “I saw practice and everything. I saw a lot of campus. We got a lot done in that one day I was there. I talked to a couple professors and everything, talk about what the class size would be, I'm okay with gong back up and getting the same experience with everything. It is pretty cool.”
Already with notables offers from Ohio State, Notre Dame and USC among others, Gill says his plan is to narrow his list down to five schools after his junior season.
In the meantime, he says his plan is to keep working on his game individually this summer.
“Just try to keep building on weight, get stronger,” he said. “Try to work a little on my route running. Get a little quicker. The main is goal is to try to gain weight and make my team better.”
