St. Petersburg (Fla.) Admiral Farragut Academy sophomore outside linebacker Khalan Tolson is an emerging prospect out of the Sunshine State. Recently reeling in several new offers, that trend continued for him when Michigan came calling.
As Tolson put it, the offer from the Wolverines definitely caught his attention.
"I was very happy and excited about the offer," Tolson told The Michigan Insider. "I'm interested. I think Michigan is a good college athletically and academically."
The athletic 6-foot-0, 200-pound linebacker is still learning about the Wolverines, but says there's a whole lot to like from the outside looking in.
"It is a very spirited college, won their bowl game last season, have a tremendous football coach and Tom Brady went to Michigan," Tolson said.
It's still early in the recruiting process for the talented youngster, not exactly in a rush to start naming leaders at this point.
"No sir, not yet (on having a top list)," Tolson said.
Tolson plans to talk with his family about a potential visit to Ann Arbor in the near future.
