Xavier Williams Lands 'Unreal' Michigan Offer

The Wolverines extended an offer to one of the most elite wide outs in the 2018 class in Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade Madonna Prep wide receiver Xavier Williams. He talks about his latest from Michigan, his thoughts on Jim Harbaugh and more.

Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade Madonna Prep wide receiver Xavier Williams is considered one of the top sophomore prospects in the country. Having earned over 20 offers, Williams is becoming a veteran to the recruiting process. Even with his offer total rising rapidly, his latest offer from the Wolverines was one he couldn’t believe.

“We were working out in the weight room and Shaun Shivers came up to me and said you got an offer from Michigan and we're always playing like that, so I didn't believe him until Coach Moose actually announced it to the whole team,” Williams told The Michigan Insider. “I was in shock at that moment and it felt unreal.”

The dynamic six-foot, 180-pound playmaker isn’t too familiar with Michigan, but plans to give them plenty of consideration because of head coach Jim Harbaugh.

“I'm going to most definitely looking into them,” said Williams. “I just like how cool Coach Harbaugh seems. I would really like to meet him in person, but I really don't know a lot about Michigan. I've watched videos of him and how he interacts with his players and also recruits when they come to visit and I would just love to be around him.” Williams will also work to get that opportunity to see him by visiting Ann Arbor down the road.

I will try my hardest to get there,” said Williams.
