Landers Picks Up Michigan Offer

The Sunshine State has been kind to the Wolverines as of late and Jim Harbaugh is looking to pluck some more talent from this recruiting hotbed. One of those prospects Michigan’s headman would like to add to the fold is St. Petersburg (Fla.) Lakewood junior wide receiver Matt Landers, who recently landed an offer. He talks about it and more inside.

At 6-foot-5, 192-pounds, St. Petersburg (Fla.) Lakewood junior wide receiver Matt Landers has the size and the athletic ability to excel at the next level, which has made him a hot commodity. The Sunshine State stud has seen his stock rise with new offers pouring in and that only continued when Michigan recently entered the picture and extended an offer out.

“I found out by my head coach and I was really excited,” Landers told The Michigan Insider. “I know that they've had a lot of great players come through there, their academics are good, and they have a great coaching staff.”

Could the talented wideout possibly be thinking of making the long trek up to Ann Arbor in the future?

“I do (plan to visit), sometime this summer,” Landers said.

With over double digit offers and his recruitment still rising, Landers has yet to narrow down his list of suitors, but is hoping to do that soon and knows the factors he’ll be taking into consideration.

“No, I don’t have a top list right now,” Hopefully this summer (I’ll have a top list) and I will be looking at academics mainly and playing time," Landers said.
