ADDISON, Ill. – Toledo (Ohio) St. John’s Jesuit 2018 linebacker Dallas Gant already holds notable offers from Michigan State, Boston College and Cincinnati, among others.
And his recruitment isn’t stopping there, with Michigan, Notre Dame and Ohio State also ramping up its interest in the rising junior prospect.
So far in his recruitment, Gant says he’s looking to get familiar with every school on during his campus tour.
“When I first step on campus I want to have a family feeling,” Gant said. “I want to see how their football program performs.”
Gant’s older cousin, Allen Gant, played for the Wolverines from 2012-15, so there is a little bit more familiarity with U-M, says the younger Gant.
“I’ve seen a couple games,” Gant said. “I like the atmosphere up there. I think I’ve been to a game or two up there. My dad grew up a Michigan fan. I watched Michigan a lot.”
While U-M has yet to offer Gant, he admits an offer from the Wolverines would go along way in his recruitment.
“It would mean a lot, family up there obviously,” Gant said. “Get to go up there and see a better feeling for it.”
Adding: “(I would want to see) players, and how the react around coach (Jim) Harbaugh, see how he coaches and see what he does with his players.”
Gant noted if offered, he would “probably” visit.
Upcoming, Gant says he plans to camp at Michigan State, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Penn State.
