The top offensive lineman in Virginia is Highland Springs junior offensive tackle Mekhi Becton. This massive 6-foot-7, 300-pounder has seen his recruitment on the rise and several coaches stopped by his school during this evaluation period to check on him. Michigan offensive coordinator Tim Drevno was one of them, who came by earlier this week. Later that day, the Wolverines entered the mix by extending an offer.
“I found out about (the offer) from the offensive line coach later that day," Becton told The Michigan Insider. I was very excited and blessed. (He told me) that they are very interested and fired up about me and they want me to come up for a visit.”
The Wolverines are now a school of interest for Becton and a place he plans to visit.
“I’m very interested,” Becton said. “I like the program and education and the history of the program. Yeah (I’ll visit), probably in the summer, but no exact date yet.”
Becton sits no leaders in his recruitment
