The state’s top cornerback prospect in Detroit (Mich.) King junior Ambry Thomas traveled up to Ann Arbor this past weekend to check out the Wolverines. Once again, he came with his cousin, Detroit (Mich.) Cass Tech junior safety Jaylen Kelly-Powell by his side.
The Motor City standout got the opportunity to further bond and talk with many members of the coaching staff who are ready to see him join the fold at Michigan.
“The visit was good,” Thomas told The Michigan Insider. “I got to sit and talk to the coaches. I talked with like the whole defensive staff. They asked me what I was I waiting on (laughter).”
As a top priority on Michigan’s recruiting board, the headman himself Jim Harbaugh has also forged a strong relationship with him.
“Our relationship is good and I like that he knows what he's doing,” said Thomas.
While the Wolverines have made it known to the four-star corner where he sits with them, there is no rush on Thomas’ end to make a decision just yet.
“I’m taking my time with this process, so I still got to weigh my options and make sure I pick the school right for me,” said Thomas.
Thomas currently sits with no top list
