Anderson (S.C.) T.L. Hanna sophomore defensive tackle Stephon Wynn is becoming a very coveted prospect on the recruiting trail. Despite having two years of high school football still ahead of him, his recruitment is quickly soaring and holds double-digits offers. The latest offer, however, came as a surprise on Tuesday when he learned he had picked up an offer from Michigan.
“Well, one of my coaches was telling me that they have some good news for me, so I was confused and didn't know what was going on,” Wynn told The Michigan Insider. “I then seen that my school recruiting page put on Twitter and I was really excited. It means a lot, every offer means a lot to me. It’s just a blessing.”
The 6-foot-4, 254-pound is a Clemson legacy, but plans to explore his options. One of those offers he will look to further look into is his latest from the Wolverines, which he’s very intrigued knowing their defensive line will feature incoming five-star defensive tackle Rashan Gary.
“Very (interested),” said Wynn. “They just got the #1 player in 2016 and he is also a defensive lineman. He will definitely be a first round draft pick, so that would awesome to learn from someone like that.”
Could a trip to Ann Arbor now be in order?
“I’m going to talk to my parents about (visiting Michigan), but it’s possible,” said Wynn.
At the moment, Wynn holds no early favorites in his recruitment
