Michigan could possibly be in line for some shooting guard help if things fall the right way.
According to report by ESPN's Jeff Goodman via Twitter, he says that Michigan and Xavier are "in the mix" for Kentucky shooting guard transfer Chris Matthews.
Matthews played in all 36 games for the Wildcats last season. However, the former four-star and Chicago, Ill. native only averaged 1.7 points and 1.6 rebounds during his only season with the team.
According to Scout.com's All Wildcats, Matthews is coming off recent hip surgery. Due to NCAA transfer rules, he would have to sit out the 2016-2017 season.
According to the 2015 Scout.com rankings, he was rated the No. 80 prospect in the nation.
